Zulu is a 54ft Assegai, custom built game fishing vessel which was launched late 2014, and released for charter in 2015. Zulu is the one of the most technologically advanced game boat to hit the waters of Australia thus far.
Zulu is based at The Reef Marina, Port Douglas and is available for private fishing, diving and leisure charters in and around North Queensland.
She also offers joint fishing/diving/leisure charters with other vessels within the fleet, utilising Beluga as her mothership.
She boasts a Seakeeper gyro, Furuno omni-directional sonar, three wetfaced keel mounted transducers connected to the new Furuno chirp sounder system as well a Furuno 1150 sounder with a widebeam transducer.
Zulu also features the Twindisc Express Joystick system which smoothly and simultaneously actuates and controls engines, transmissions, propellers and thrusters, which can hold the vessel in any fixed position, crab the boat diagonally or straight sideways and rotate it 360° on its axis.
- Large stainless steel kitchen includes, gas cooktop and stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine and ice chipper as well as many other creature comforts.
- The saloon boasts a 48 inch flat screen tv which connects to the sounder, plotter and sonar in the fly bridge so you can view the running systems of the vessel at any time.
- Wi-fi is available and apps which you can connect your own devices to and view the captains screens from anywhere in the boat.
- Fusion surround sound system and automatic slide down back window allows you to experience the action on the back deck from the air conditioned comfort of the saloon!

Accommodating up to 8 guests plus crew, Zulu’s accommodation consists of three cabins and two bathrooms.
The master suite includes a King sized bed with a single bunk on either side, as well as a full walk in ensuite. One cabin houses a double bed and the other has single bunks.
The vessel has air conditioning throughout with temperature control in each room.
Zulu’s fly bridge has a day bed for cruising, ample lounge seating and is complete with a marlin/tuna tower has the ultimate view and fish/reef spotting.
